Sometime between the 12th and the 16th, I suspect I will be visiting Birmingham. So, Brumfolk who still live there speak up if you want to be visited by a gainfully employed madwoman. 😀 All I have planned at the moment is… popping into the zoo on Pershore Road on the 13th, loitering and going to the cinema where it will be half the price of tickets at my local cinema. 😀

Yesterday my mum and I went and wander about Oxford Street a bit. Yes. Oxford Street on the first weekend of advent. 😀 It was fun – mostly because we weren’t intending to actually buy anything as I’ve done pretty much all my christmas shopping online already and also done a bit of my mum’s shopping. We had chestnuts and they were tasty.

Then! There was going to meet [info]knightette and visiting a christmas shop and then eating and presents and [info]mistrpharmacist and stuffs.

Then we went home. I found out that channel five is offering csi downloads. So some point during the week I shall check that out and replace my lack of viewing with CSI. 😀

So this week I am working in Milton Keynes instead of Watford. Which is good, because I’m basically doing the same things but there’s less of it in Milton Keynes. Plus because I don’t get there till 10am and I leave at about 4.30pm, there’s even less of the other filler stuff. 😀

Christmas shopping is pretty much done. Just the one thing for my dad I want to get. Woog.

What else?

i know that we don’t get no sleep

…things i have discovered today that are nifty:

  • My web host basically has the same video streaming thingy that powers youtube. Only it’d be hosted on my own space. That’s really cool and goes well with last month’s figuring out of how to put my dad’s video camera tapes onto the other computer. 😀

  • Pasta is still good leftover food.

  • I fixed my computer at work so that it doesn’t think my keyboard is an american one

  • Also… correctly guessed the password on the account I’m using to log in. Marvel at my obvious password guessing ability.

  • My christmas present from my parents that I ordered arrived!

…things that are not so nifty

  • My dad was probably asleep when the delivery person showed up so my present is at the post-office. Somewhere.

The CSI downloads thing from channel 5 seems reasonable. Although I’m going to have to figure out whether I’ll ever get round to actually using it. Also, my Winnie the Pooh advent calendar has delicious chocolate.

Tonight… I baked sardine and onion thingies. Mmm tasty. Some time I have to get a new pair of gloves as the pair that I managed not to lose all through university are now no longer a pair. Which is mildly inconvenient.

The stuff I ordered for myself for christmas isn’t at the sorting office… it’s apparently at some random other post office that closes at lunchtime. After which my dad arrived at the post office. So maybe tomorrow.

Also, other stuff to remember. And things.
