Apocalypto was a rubbish film.

In other news, it was also a too long rubbish film. Even my mum, who was the one desperate to see it instead of Pan’s Labyrinth because she couldn’t be bothered with a film not in english, thought it was bad. And mildly annoyed that it too featured no english speaking.

he wore black and i wore white

This weekend I was in Birmingham.

On Friday… there was catching an only slightly delayed train, arriving at New Street station, hopping on a bus and… completely missing [info]bethanthepurple. Oops. Then… there was randomly dropping in on [info]sethi, who was suitably bewildered at me and [info]bethanthepurple appearing at his doorstep. After that there was visiting [info]yartek and watching the Fantastic Four, which is a GREAT film and full of hilarity. πŸ˜€

Saturday involved visiting the ZOO! With [info]bethanthepurple and [info]miss_corinne The highlight of which I think was seeing the maras which look a lot like large rabbits with little ears sitting down, but like someone has chopped the face off a bunny and spliced it onto a deer when standing up. And occasionally like a donkey. There were also goats, sheep, lynx, wallabies, owls, fish, snakes, lizards, rats, mice, lemurs, meerkats and many many other animals. Woo. Then there was more visiting of [info]sethi and Lindsay and then Richard appeared and disappeared and appeared and disappeared and appeared and disappeared and so forth.

In the evening, [info]yartek, [info]bethanthepurple and [info]x_equals_speed all magically appeared at the cinema and we saw “Smokin’ Aces” which is a GREAT film also. πŸ˜€ It has a whole bunch of people either trying to catch or kill this other guy and shooting and chainsaws and killing and violence and killing and hilarity and more shooting. It is a bit Lucky Number Slevinish but with more killing. Then it was back to [info]yartek‘s where we watched pretty much all of another great terrible film, “Daredevil”.

Today… there was a-churching with [info]ferrious and then eating of food and then coming back home. And… tomorrow I have the day off! πŸ˜€ And also Tuesday! πŸ˜€ Marvel at my cunning plan! πŸ˜€

lord give me grace and dancing feet. let me outshine the moon

Things that vex me today mainly include the recurring “completely forgetting what I wanted to say”. Argh.

In other news, I’m glad I’ve got two days off now. Actually doing stuff at the weekend that isn’t vacuuming or food shopping takes up more energy somehow.

I still can’t remember what it was I was thinking about earlier and I suspect it was actually important this time. Hm.

and i chat with you baby, flirt with you maybe

So the other day I saw Eragon. It’s… a lot like Star Wars. And Lord of the Rings and ends rather abruptly. Although apparently there is a second book to be made into a sequel although probably not because it wasn’t that good a film. So in conclusion, yes I’d buy it on dvd, if it was cheap. πŸ˜€ Other than that… I have been taking advantage of the new telly of bigness to make my parents watch crappy crappy films that I have on dvd. πŸ˜€ We’ve so far tackled the first film of The Prophecy trilogy. My mum is eager to watch the rest of the films.

I have also… sorted out adding to my savings big stylee and… sorting out a pension is next on the list. Woo.

New Years Eve will involve going to a party at my godfather’s where there will be all kinds of tasty delicious food and I get to mock people who think I am still 15* and generally hanging out.

In other news, I have new jeans! That fit! woog. and more importantly, were cheap. Although mostly because I don’t understand spending lots of money on clothes.

*Last month I got asked what I was studying for my GCSEs.*facepalm*

Sometime between the 12th and the 16th, I suspect I will be visiting Birmingham. So, Brumfolk who still live there speak up if you want to be visited by a gainfully employed madwoman. πŸ˜€ All I have planned at the moment is… popping into the zoo on Pershore Road on the 13th, loitering and going to the cinema where it will be half the price of tickets at my local cinema. πŸ˜€
