I&#039;m flicking through the graduation booklet. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570941118478745601\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I get to the last page. I notice that TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO GET TICKETS AND HIRE MY GOWN ETC ETC WHATEVER <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570941223474749440\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Oops. Now. I&#8230; don&#039;t care about the graduation ceremony business, but my parents are pretty into it. They will want to attend. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570941329146048512\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I apply for tickets for them and confirm I will be there. This is easy. This part is free. The part with the gown hire is more tricky. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570941466987659264\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The gown hire website asks me what university I attend and what degree I&#039;ve just completed. These are things I can answer. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570941646130548736\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Then it asks me how tall I am. This too, is a thing I can answer. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570941723716808704\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>THEN. Then it asks me how big my head is. How do I know? I&#039;ve never had to measure my skull. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570941916260524032\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I also don&#039;t have a tape measure. Being in a windowless underground computer lab. What to do. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570942002105356288\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Is there&#8230;a ruler? No. Is there&#8230; string? No. I construct for myself some kind of headband out of paper. There is a lot of paper here. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570942164668182528\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The problem is, I still can&#039;t measure it because I don&#039;t have a tape measure or ruler. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570942322248175616\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I do have a computer lab full of computers. Google shall provide for me a picture of a ruler. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570942402644615168\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Google does in fact provide for me a picture of a ruler and I make a reasonable guess at the size of my skull. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570942493640007680\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The next part will illustrate how awesome my Dad was. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herdivineshadow\/statuses\/570942605627940864\">-&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I have tickets. They were free. The gown and booking the photo? These are not free.
