Along with Allergy Advice, what about food scares,
just thinking about stuff like that sudan1 scare that happened last year. Could allow users to know if any products have been recalled
-Another Idea. link it to a recipe database so it can suggest what to cook, from the ingredients in your fridge.
Also could tell it what you want to cook and it will stick it on your shopping list
Here’s some of the ideas we came up with at our last meeting with a few more I added:
Vaguely good ideas:
+ Fridge uses RFID and weight sensors to keep track of food thats running out and automatically orders more when required.
+ Fridge suggests recepies for meals based on what you have in it. It then presents animations/videos on the screen demonstrating how to go about preparing the food.
+ The fridge alerts the user to any potential food scares if they have any of the suspect food.
+ Fridge cooks food with microwaves so it is ready when you get home.
+ X-Ray’s food to keep it from going off.
+ Has a juice machine in the front.
+ Has a beer machine in the front to serve cold beer!
+ Has a camera in the front; uses facial recognition to determine if people are taking food they did not buy (good in student houses) or cakes, etc between meals (keep track of children sneaking snacks)! The fridge will tell the food owner of people taking food the next time they approach the fridge.
+ Provides a dating service via the internet, based on similar food tastes.
+ Fridge comes with RFID tuppaware so the fridge can keep track of home-made food.
+ If fridge breaks down, it can send an email/sms to the owner so they can make alternative arrangements to stop their food from spoiling.
+ Fridge planner reminds you to take your medications.
+ Screen on front spams special offers/adverts at you from the supermarket it is connected to.
+ Fridge has a quick-freeze compartment to rapidly chill food.
Less-good ideas:
+ Fridge has AI and will eventually develop into Skynet!
+ Startrek-style food replicator in the front.
+ Uranium-powered so it can keep your food cold, even if there is a power cut.
